CUET Exam Syllabus

The CUET UG 2025 syllabus is based on the Class 12 NCERT curriculum and is divided into three main sections: Languages, Domain-Specific Subjects, and General Test. You can view and download the official syllabus at cuet.nta.nic.in/syllabus.

Section IA & IB:

Languages

-Includes 13 languages in Section IA and 20 in Section IB

Topics Covered:

-Reading comprehension (factual, narrative, and literary)

-Vocabulary and grammar

-Verbal ability

Languages include English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Urdu, and more.

Section II:

Domain-Specific Subjects

-Choose up to six subjects from a list of over 25

Subjects Include:

-Physics, Chemistry, Biology

-Mathematics, Applied Mathematics

-Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics

-History, Political Science, Geography

-Computer Science, Environmental Science, Psychology, and more

Each subject follows the Class 12 NCERT syllabus, so students should refer to their textbooks for detailed preparation.

Section III:

General Test

Topics Covered:

-General knowledge and current affairs

-Numerical ability and quantitative reasoning

-Logical and analytical reasoning

This section is useful for students applying to programs that require aptitude testing beyond subject knowledge.

The Common University Entrance Test, earlier known as Central Universities Common Entrance Test is an all-India test being organized by National Testing Agency for admission to various Undergraduate, Integrated, Postgraduate, Diploma, Certification courses and Research Programmes in 45 Central Universities of India.The CUET will be conducted in two slots as computer-based test. There will be four sections in the exam

Section 1A (language test-13 Languages)

Section 1B (optional language test-19 Languages)

Section 2 (27 domain-specific test) and

Section 3 (General Test).

All the participating universities will accept the CUET score for admission to UG courses.
