Where to dump $6000, Traditional IRA or Roth IRA??? : personalfinance

My husband and i often use Turbotax to file our taxes, but recently discovered FreetaxUSA.com. After entering our 2019 W2s and taking the standard deduction i discovered our tax bill is $2200. We are at the 24% bracket. As tax deadline approaches where should i dump my $6000?. I was advise to open a traditional IRA and dump my money there to lower the tax bill. Would this be the right move or should i dump in a Roth and get hit with my current tax rate? Planning to open a Vanguard account and invest it in VTSAX.
